Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and the (small) part cookies play. In plain English.
Effective September 11, 2026
This policy explains how Oregon Trailer LLC, d/b/a Oregon Trail’R (“Oregon Trail’R,” “we,” “us”) handles information on oregontrailer.net. The short version: we collect what we need to answer your questions and build and deliver your trailer, we don’t sell your information, and we run no advertising or cross-site tracking.
1. Information you give us
When you reach out or place an order, you may share things like:
- Your name, email, phone, and address (contact, quote, rental, service, and order forms).
- Your trailer configuration and any notes, plus tow-vehicle details you enter for a build.
- Messages you send us, and photos you choose to submit.
You don’t have to give us any of this to browse the site — it’s only collected when you choose to send it.
2. Payments
Card and bank payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card or bank details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them. We keep a record of the payment itself (amount, date, method, and that it succeeded) so we can track your order balance.
3. Cookies & similar technology
We keep this deliberately minimal. We use only essential and functional cookies — the kind a site needs to work — and no advertising or tracking cookies:
- Sign-in cookies for our own staff (owner and shop crew). A normal visitor never receives these.
- A small preference cookieand browser storage that remember settings like light/dark theme — on your device only.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, which gives us aggregate visit counts. It’s cookieless and does not fingerprint you or track you across other sites.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly check that keeps bots out of our public forms (security, not advertising).
- When you pay, Stripe sets its own cookies on its secure checkout pages for fraud prevention.
Because we use only essential/functional cookies and cookieless analytics, we don’t bury you under a cookie-consent banner — there’s nothing non-essential to opt out of. If that ever changes, we’ll update this page.
4. How we use your information
We use what you share to:
- Answer your questions and prepare quotes.
- Build, schedule, and deliver your trailer, and keep you updated on its progress.
- Process payments and keep order and tax records.
- Send order, service, and account messages related to something you asked for.
- Keep the site secure and working, and improve it.
- Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We do rely on a few trusted service providers to run the business, who handle your information only to provide their service to us. They currently include:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — delivering our transactional email.
- Railway and Sanity — hosting the site and its content.
- Cloudflare — cookieless analytics and form security.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
6. Photos you submit
If you submit a photo (for example, to our customer gallery), you’re giving us permission to display it on the site, credited as you asked. Please only send photos that are yours to share. You can ask us to take one down at any time.
7. How long we keep it
We keep quote, order, payment, and service records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet legal, tax, and warranty obligations. Casual inquiries are kept only as long as they’re useful. You can ask us to delete information we’re not required to keep.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information — payments go through Stripe, staff areas are locked behind sign-in, and connections are encrypted. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
9. Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or deletethe personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you non-essential messages — just email us (below) and we’ll help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the California CPRA or the EU/UK GDPR; we’ll honor valid requests those laws give you.
10. Children
Our site isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, let us know and we’ll remove it.
11. Other sites
Our site may link to places we don’t control (like our social media). Their privacy practices are their own — this policy covers only Oregon Trail’R.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business or the site changes. When we do, we’ll revise the “Effective” date at the top. Meaningful changes will be reflected here.
